Tiana brought her fingers up to her mouth, letting them brush lightly against her lips, trying to recall the feeling of Rabbit’s on hers. She glanced over at Rabbit, who looked just as shocked as her at his actions, she wondered if he had planned on kissing her or if it had been spur of the moment. She wasn’t sure if she wanted to ask him to do it again, even though she did want him to kiss her again. “Rabbit…” she said softly, reaching out a hand and resting it on his own. “What…what was that for?”
“For once in my life, I have no answer to that question,” Rabbi answered. “I am unsure what came over me. All i can say is that it wasn’t so bad once it happened.” Rabbit put his hand to his mouth after saying this. He felt he had said too much. If he had, it would very easily put strain on their friendship, something he wished not to happen.
“Please forgive me, Tiana,” He said after another short bout of silence. “I will try to keep control of myself in the future, and I apologize for my brashness.” He was sure he sounded a little stiff as he said this, but he wanted their relationship to remain, and he felt this apology was all he could give to make sure that happened.
Tiana felt her heart drop with Rabbit’s reply, it was like he felt like he had made a mistake. “No…no, it’s okay, Rabbit. I…I liked it.” she looked down when she said this, hoping her flushed cheeks would prove to him that she was being honest. She set about smoothing the front of her skirt, a nervous habit that she seemed to be doing more often. “Is this something that you want? Or do you want to stay…just friends. Leave it uncomplicated.”
She couldn’t help but ask this question, though she wasn’t sure she wanted to know the answer. If this turned into a relationship, even if they were just testing the waters, it could make things far more complicated but then again, it would still be just as complicated if they tried to remain friends. A line had been crossed with that kiss and she wanted to know how he felt about the situation.
Rabbit just stood there in the middle of the restaurant. He was looking at Tiana, whom he had unexpectedly kissed. He was unsure of what came over him to do such a thing, but he wasn’t all that embarrassed about it. He actually liked it, but he was not sure if he should tell Tiana that. He stood in silence, just wondering if telling her his thoughts was the right thing to do or not. He didn’t want to put any strain on their relationship that didn’t need to be there.
Panic had finally climbed down from clinging onto his brother, and when he turned he saw a man that had to be Rabbit and Tiana kissing. He was struck with more emotion on seeing this, and gave a small cheer. He even did a catcall or two as the figures were enveloped in their embrace.
Pain was less than…… excited than Panic to see Tiana and some mysterious man canoodling in the restaurant, and right in front of them! Jeez, they didn’t have to demonstrate the restaurant theme to them so explicitly.
He rolled his eyes and shook his head as his brother cheered them on. He’s not one to believe in love and all that jazz. He pulled his brother aside abruptly, nudging him at the side, “Don’t you think we should give them privacy?”
Rabbit finally pulled away from Tiana, having heard a small bit of the side conversation as well. “Just so you know boys, these big ears of mine are not just for show. And Tiana, sorry for the random interruption of our conversation.”
He tried to hide it, but he was blushing quite a bit. He didn’t have any idea what made him leap to such an action, but he didn’t care. In fact, he enjoyed every minute of it.
Tiana noted the blush creeping up Rabbit’s cheeks, sure it matched her own big red face. “What…what was that all about, Rabbit?” She was secretly hoping that he had been wanting to kiss her, that it wasn’t just the excitement of the restaurant. She was now very aware of Pain and Panic’s presence, how Pain looked annoyed and Panic’s cheering. She smoothed her dress down nervously, hands shaking slightly, though a coy smile still managed to work it’s way across her still flushed face.
